Drove back to the Milan Malpensa airport to pick up my peeps
I surprised them right at the arrival door with a luggage cart and bottles of water

Biggest surprise was that I waited to check out of my room … so that I could take them back and let them freshen up and take a nap before we took off for Lake Como.

I now know to follow my instincts versus a GPS device. They brought a GPS, and it had us traveling on the west side of the lake to Varenna. Uhhhh it is on the right side of the lake. That would be like (imagine a clock) .. and wanting to be at 3 oclock but you are at 9 oclock. With WATER in between. The GPS said to take a right and drive … errrr across the lake!
Dang … I should have gotten that floating car.

Well at least we passed George Clooneys house … funny my invitation for lunch must have been misplaced … LOL

I don’t know what made me remember the car ferry from Mennagio … but yippeeeee
I did well manipulating the car onto the ferry … funny thing was the guy in front of us … his car died and his family had to push it off the ferry … errr after it docked ha ha

We arrived at the hotel after a Very narrow and winding road
We had to take 2 separate funiculars up to our suite.

Now that we are here … I am amazed … what a view
We can see the entire lake !
The room has an incredible veranda with stone arches.

We had dinner at the hotel on the terrace … tortellini with ham and peas … oh yeah

We went for a drink at midnight in the center of the village
Then for a drive up into the hills above the village …
Funny what people will do when they have jet lag …. And cant sleep
