Although Goa is part of India, it has a strong influence of the Portuguese culture owing to the long years of Dutch colonization. The buildings and architecture are none like any other Indian monument. A trip to Goa will be a memorable one as Goa is not just a tourist attraction but an amalgamation of various cultures and heritages. The basilica of Bom Jesus is one of the oldest churches in India and is UNESCO world heritage site. It houses the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. This church was built in 1605. It’s an artist marvel as the construction is in gothic style and the materials used will surely mesmerize you.
Calangute Beach is the largest beach in Goa with clean water and clear sand which are perfect for relaxing. However, the sea can get a bit rough here and so, avoid swimming too deep into the water. In the beaches of Goa, you will find youth enjoying with their friends, artists capturing the beauty of the land on their canvases, people experiencing special massages and so on. Nearby are small restaurants where you can have tasty local cuisine. You can also try water sports such as banana boat ride, parasailing, waterjet and many more at almost every beach in Goa. The rides are not very costly. So, you can enjoy them over and over again. The rides are safe as the safety equipments are in place and used effectively. The beaches of Goa are the getaway to enjoyment and so, your Goa tour packages have to have them.
