Happy Anniversary Tim !
Today we drove to Switzerland … actually a small hilltop town called Soglio near the border ….
Butttttttt first … enroute I spotted the most amazing waterfall and stopped.
It turns out you can swim at the base and down stream. Wow how refreshing … after climbing up to the waterfall and getting properly misted … we waded in!
Soglio is amazing! So steep … and maybe 10 people live there
Sweet little stone houses a road so narrow I had to do a 27 point turn to get through the streets
And perhaps the most expensive soda I have ever bought … about $7 for a can!
Oh yeah … seriously
Must be difficult to get supplies in there … as no truck could possibly go up the incline and twisting roads … our own car had a difficult time …
From Switzerland we drove south for a few hours until I tired of driving. Note to self: automatic car would allow others to drive …. It seems to be a lost ability. Almost all cars have stickshifts … or its double the cost.
We stayed at a highway motel … quite nice built just a year ago … interestingly it had a DRIVE THROUGH check in … like McDonalds

It should be against the law not to know how to drive a stick...I learned when I was 15. I'm rusty, but I could do it if I had to...maybe I will rent one next week just to see how I do. Hugs, Sabrina (Chicago)
